Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis (NSF)
A rare and serious non-genetic syndrome that involves the excess development of fibrous tissue of the skin, joints, eyes and internal organs in patients with kidney failure. The cause is not fully understood, although it may be related to the exposure of gadolinium (contrast substance used in MRIs). Also known as Nephrogenic Fibrosing Dermopathy.

Nephrogenic Fibrosing Dermopathy (NFD)
